GIS Day 2025

Since its inception in 1999, GIS (Geographic Information Science) Day has been a time for celebrating geographic information-based technologies. FSU Libraries has previously celebrated this annual event with displays featuring maps and books on mapmaking, as well as with hands-on activities with maps and snacks. However, for GIS Day 2025, FSU Libraries is bringing back a GIS Day tradition: the Scavenger Hunt! Stop by Strozier and Dirac to see displays based on this year’s GIS Day theme: maps and time. On GIS Day itself, November 19, there will be free donuts at Diac!

Lasting from November 1 to November 30, the GIS Day Scavenger Hunt takes place across FSU’s campus. Participants have a chance to win a limited-edition sticker and be entered in a raffle to win one of four FSU Libraries swag bags! Winners will be announced during the first week of December.

Remember: There is still time to do the scavenger hunt after GIS Day (November 19)!
