Where Are They Now? Ginger Williams

Ginger Williams graduated from FSU with a degree in Library Science while working as a student employee at FSU Libraries. She then worked at Valdosta State University for just over four years; while she was there, she earned a master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership. After departing from VSU, she worked her way up the ranks of Fort Lewis College, starting off as a circulation supervisor, then moving up to reference and instruction coordinator. Seeing a massive career opportunity, Ginger took a job at Wichita State University as an associate dean. This would be her final role before taking up her current position as the Dean of Library Services at Fort Hays State University, where she reports directly to the provost.

Ginger highly recommends working at FSU Libraries, highlighting how fun it was to work with the library materials, as well as the interesting personalities she met during her time here. The skills she obtained at FSU Libraries helped her immensely in the illustrious career that would follow, namely interpersonal skills. As a result of her experiences as a student employee, Ginger learned the importance of being intentional with her interactions with others. We are so proud of how far Ginger has come since leaving FSU, and though we know she does not need it, we wish her nothing but the best in all her future endeavors!
