Where Are They Now? Kevin Seeber

Kevin Seeber left FSU Libraries in 2011. He received his master’s degree in library science in 2009 while working as a student employee. After FSU, he worked as a library instruction coordinator at Colorado State University Pueblo. From there, he worked his way up to the position of Government Documents Librarian. Kevin left Pueblo in 2015, transitioning to the University of Colorado; for the first year, he was the Teaching and Learning Librarian, becoming head of the department in 2018. He worked as the Head Librarian at Penn State Abington, where he was hired with tenure. Recently, and most currently, Kevin was hired as University Libraries Senior Assistant Dean for Research, Learning, and Access Services at Binghamton University.

Kevin’s career trajectory has been defined by his willingness to challenge himself by taking up new and uncharted responsibilities. He is an advocate for student employees, recognizing and appreciating the work they put into making a library run. He encourages student employees to socialize and collaborate with their non-student colleagues. Penn State is very fortunate to have someone as hardworking as Kevin on their team; FSU Libraries is similarly grateful that he is a part of our story.
